Lake Arts Project evolved from modest beginnings to become an important part of the movement to promote healing and connecting by using art as a tool. We create opportunities to bring diverse community groups together for the purpose of healing from trauma.

In our 10th anniversary season of collaboration, we plan to introduce ourselves to the Duluth, MN community. We have plans to facilitate the meeting of and collaboration with local veterans and artists. These meeting(s) will bring connection, communication, and compassion for one another in this group of people that might not meet without this opportunity.

Their meeting and sharing of stories: trauma, loss, recovery, and joy will then become a unique performance of dance and potentially multiple other artforms in Minnesota Ballet’s Studio Four theater.
